Closing the ATTITUDE Gap
Parents, Students and Staff,
Assalamu Alaikum and welcome to the October edition of our school newsletter.
I am thrilled to write to you in the midst of a school year that holds great promise and potential. This year, our focus at Mohammed Schools of Atlanta revolves around the powerful theme of "Accelerating Adab, Accountability, and Achievement." It is more than just a tagline; it is a commitment to nurturing a learning environment where respect, responsibility, and academic excellence flourish.
One essential aspect of our mission this year is addressing the ATTITUDE gap. We recognize that attitude plays a pivotal role in shaping one’s destiny. It determines not only how we approach challenges but also how we perceive and seize opportunities. An optimistic and resilient attitude can turn obstacles into stepping stones, failures into lessons, and setbacks into comebacks.
Teaching our students the importance of a positive attitude is integral to their personal and academic growth. It is with this in mind that our dedicated teachers and staff are working tirelessly to instill in our scholars a sense of belief in themselves and their abilities. We are fostering an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to overcome obstacles, learn from failures, and celebrate successes, both big and small.
Our efforts to close the ATTITUDE gap are closely aligned with our overarching theme this year. By nurturing a culture of Adab (manners and respect), we teach our students to approach challenges with grace and humility. Through Accountability, we encourage them to take ownership of their actions and choices, promoting a sense of responsibility towards their own attitudes and behavior. And by fostering a culture of Achievement, we inspire our students to set high expectations for themselves, reinforcing the belief that a positive attitude is the cornerstone of success.
I urge parents and guardians to partner with us in this endeavor. Your encouragement and support at home play a vital role in reinforcing the values and attitudes we promote at school. By working together, we can ensure that our students are not only academically proficient but also emotionally resilient and socially responsible individuals.
As we move forward in this academic year, let us continue to nurture a positive attitude within ourselves and our children. Together, we can bridge the ATTITUDE gap, accelerating our journey toward a future filled with achievements, accountability, and, above all, exceptional Adab.
Thank you for your continued support, trust, and collaboration. May Allah bless our efforts and guide our students toward a bright and successful future.
Peace Be Unto You,
Khalil Ali
