From the Principal’s Office:

As-Salaamu-Alaikum Mohammed Schools of Atlanta Families,

It is with great pride and a deep sense of responsibility that I share the rich legacy that has shaped not only my family but also the foundation of the Mohammed Schools of Atlanta.

As the torchbearer of a lineage steeped in a commitment to education, I am privileged to follow in the footsteps of my esteemed family members—my mother, Halimah Mohammed-Ali; my father, Nadar Ali II; my late grandfather, Nadar Ali; and my great-grandparents, Sister Clara Muhammad and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Their pioneering spirit laid the groundwork for our family, instilling values of self-reliance, education, and unity, echoing the principles of Islam and inspiring countless others to strive for a brighter future.

Now, let's journey back to the 1930s, a pivotal era when my great-grandparents established the very first Islamic School in America. It wasn't merely a school; it was a dream, a vision that ignited the flame for over 40 Islamic schools across the nation. What an extraordinary family tradition to uphold!

Fast-forwarding to the present, envision a place where learning transcends the ordinary—a transformative experience that, God willing, will culminate in the graduation of the first Hafiz of the Quran in English. Our students are not just acquiring knowledge; they are gaining the power of choice. Upon graduation, they will have the opportunity to attend the University of Al-Islam on a full scholarship, offering a diverse array of majors that empower them to become trailblazers in this world. Our graduates will leave not only with diplomas but as ambassadors of change, spreading knowledge and inspiration globally.

Can you fathom the impact of such accomplishments? Do you recognize the untapped potential within our students, ready to be unleashed?

This is not a mere dream; it is the reality at Mohammed Schools of Atlanta. Together, we bear the responsibility of nurturing these dreams. Let us inspire the youth and believe in the incredible future before us. Join us on this journey of boundless potential, where collectively, we can shape a future that knows no limits.

Choosing Mohammed Schools of Atlanta is not merely selecting a school; it is becoming part of a legacy—one of excellence, justice, and compassion. Together, we are cultivating future leaders, empowering young minds to dream big and achieve even greater heights.

I carry the torch of my family’s teachings with immense pride. In our household, we are not just parents; we are stewards of a legacy. As a principal, I take immense pride in our students here at Mohammed Schools of Atlanta. In them, we witness future leaders, scholars, and visionaries poised to shape the world. We have faith in their abilities, dreams, and potential to carry that torch even further.

Together, let us honor the memory of our pioneers and continue the work they initiated, ensuring that their impact on the world reverberates through generations. The legacy we speak of is not confined to history but is a living, breathing reality embodied in the hearts and minds of our children.

I extend my heartfelt thanks for your time, support, and belief in a brighter future. Let us all be stewards of this great legacy.

Warm regards,

Khalil Ali
Principal
