Caliph Reports

We are excited to announce a new behavioral program at Mohammed Schools of Atlanta (MSOA) called the Caliph Report. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to promote an Islamic Positive Behavior Intervention and Support System within our school community.

The Caliph Report is designed to provide our staff with a tool to acknowledge students for their positive behavior and also to promptly address and redirect any unfavorable behavior. The program is centered around four key expectations that we believe are essential for fostering a positive and productive learning environment. These expectations are Awareness, Diplomacy, Accountability, and Brightness (ADAB). As a simple reminder, our program slogan is "Caliphs have ADAB!"

The Caliph Report enables us to track both positive and unfavorable behaviors of our students. By doing so, we can ensure that we appropriately recognize and reward students for their positive actions, while also taking necessary disciplinary actions for any undesirable behavior. To facilitate this process, we have created a matrix of expected behaviors that we would like to see our students exhibit throughout their time at MSOA, along with updating our disciplinary section of the School Handbook.

When students demonstrate a high level of Awareness, Diplomacy, Accountability, and Brightness (ADAB), they have the opportunity to receive an Exemplary Caliph Report. This report serves as recognition of their exemplary behavior and can be a source of pride for both the students and their families.

On the other hand, if a student displays behaviors that are below the expected standards, they may receive a Disciplinary Caliph Report. This report acts as a means to address and correct the concerning behavior. It is important to note that all staff members have the ability to write either report for a student, ensuring that we have a comprehensive and fair assessment of their behavior.

Caliph Reports are submitted to the student's homeroom teacher and then evaluated and filed according to the appropriate follow-up action level. We believe that this process will enable us to maintain a consistent and effective approach to behavioral management, ensuring that our students have the best possible environment to learn and grow.
