A Word from Your Director

As-Salaam Alaikum, New and Returning families! It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2009/2010 school year at Mohammed Schools as we ’round the corner’ on our last few weeks of summer vacation! As usual, we are busy making changes and progress at our Mohammed Schools to prepare us for the upcoming school year. Changes like the IPTSCA Officers! You voted, and we counted! See page 7 to find out the results! We’ve also made some staffing changes, and we’re excited and confident about the energy and experience that these additions will bring to our program! See page 2 for that exciting information, as well. And we’ve made some book changes! As you know, many of the books we’ve been using for the last 5 years have expired, and we are upgrading to new editions of the same books. Not because we want to add another expense, but because we have to for the sake of our students’ education and also in preparation for our SACS Review which is coming up in March 2010. You can find important book information on page 8, and SACS Review information at Orientation. There is one thing that will not change this year, Alhamdulillah, and that’s the tuition! THAT will remain the same. But Parents, please be critically aware that we are only able to maintain this tuition rate if every family participates in the Fundraising Program, and you should look for that information at Orientation, (Saturday, August 15, 2009) as well!

Thank you Mohammed Schools families for all that you do….during the school year as well as the summer. You continue to be the muscle behind the mission of Sister Clara, and we welcome you back for a “Powerful!” 2009/2010 school year!
